Anyone planning on getting this? Looks like Amazon has a decent price on it - $41.99 with free shipping. I'm thinking about but I've gotta start saving for Xmas (yeah, like that ever happens )

I have had it preordered for a month or two now from SunCoast. Wanted the mini litho they had with it. I think I put down $45

Not going to be happy with the changes, but do want to see what he has floating in his head this time.

Just means I need to go back and find the original-original version transferred from laserdisk to DVD

Yeah, the 'surgery' Lucas keeps performing on these movies is really getting rediculous.

But I'd really like to have these movies on DVD (finally) and the Amazon price seems like a pretty good value when you consider the total package.

UPDATE: Jawa01 writes in: Hey guys. I work at Target and right now it's in the system for $49.99. If it's going to be cheaper it won't show in the system until Sunday when the sale prices for the week take effect. On a different note, we are offering a $10 gift card with the purchase of Star Wars Battlefront. So, if you buy Battlefront and the DVD set, get the game first and then have them ring up your DVD set seperatly and use the $10 gift card on it. Hope this helps.

Also Tom R. reports: Just seen COMPUSA ad for S.W. Trilogy on sale for $39.99!

Chuck Mutch writes: Frye's is advertising it for $36.99 Tuesday only. I have had chain stores match the Frye's ad.

I will be driving 20 minutes to Future Shop at 11:30 on Tuesday and pay $54.99 CDN for it. This is opposed to paying anywhere from $80-$90 at other stores.

Going to have to first see what are the changes made to it.
If it's beyond belief, I'll stick to my jeppo DVD's of the special editions cut from the old laser disks.

BTW, anyone know of a site where I can see the changes made to them?
